John,
We’ve almost gotten through 2020 ... finally. And when it comes to protecting North Carolinians’ health and well-being, it’s clear we have a lot more work ahead in 2021 and beyond.
That work starts in earnest when the General Assembly reconvenes two weeks from today!
We expect they’ll get right to work trying to roll back protections that keep our most vulnerable communities safe and healthy. They’ll try to keep toxic forever chemicals poisoning our drinking water. They’ll try to block urgent progress on tackling our climate crisis and building a clean energy economy with good-paying jobs for tens of thousands of North Carolinians.
But with your help, we’ll be there to advocate for you and your family, every step of the way, just like we have for more than 50 years.
John, will you renew your membership for 2021 at the $50 or $34 level today, and help us keep fighting for an environment that protects every North Carolinian? » [link removed]
In 2021, legislators will have to draw new districts for themselves and the U.S. House. If the last decade hasn’t been scary enough, the anti-environment leadership will try to gerrymander themselves into power for another decade so they can keep going to bat for polluters instead of you.
We need the funds to kickstart our effort to hold them accountable in 2021 and to change the faces of power in 2022. That starts today with your renewed membership gift, John.
As I write this, we’re still $3,629 short of our end-of-year goal. We need to make up this gap before the ball drops tomorrow night!
