What you need to know for 2021.

Brennan Center for Justice
Dear John,
Despite 2020 being the most secure election in our nation's history, Donald Trump and his allies have continued to spread harmful disinformation. Just last night, we learned that Mitch McConnell is using the latest stimulus check bill to try to delegitimize the 2020 election — wasting taxpayer money on a debunked and dangerous conspiracy theory by adding provisions to investigate voter fraud.

Somehow in 2020, some members of Congress still don’t believe that everyone should be able to vote, and promoting dangerous disinformation about the myth of voter fraud is how they justify adding even more barriers to voting. But you can help!

These are the fights we will continue to confront in the next year. It won’t be easy, so as we close out 2020, our staff wanted to provide you with an update on the progress we’ve made to reaching our end-of-year goal. This upcoming deadline is critical to making sure we have the resources and support we need to continue fighting for the integrity of our future elections, and ensuring the voting rights of every American are protected.
