Freedomworks has spent days riling up their followers, and we need to be ready to fight back

Indivisibles,

Since we sent you this update about one of the right wing’s mouthpieces attacking us, they’ve doubled and tripled down. FreedomWorks has spent days riling up their followers, warning about the agenda of the “radical left” and accusing us of “actively working to tear up the Constitution.” And they’ve been contacting elected officials across the country to try to build momentum for their reactionary agenda.

We deserve a country that works for everyone, not just the people who already have power. Indivisibles everywhere have been working to make that country a reality for close to three years, and we’re not going anywhere. FreedomWorks knows that, and that’s why they’re coming after us.

We have a lot of fights ahead of us -- in Congress, in the courts, and in the streets -- to build a better democracy. And this won’t be the last time the right wing tries to bring us down. If you haven’t yet, please, send a donation today so we can be ready to fight back and keep all our work moving in the face of these attacks.

There’s more in Sunday’s email below about why FreedomWorks is so scared of us. Thank you for building this movement into something we can all be proud of.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

Subject: BREAKING: Right-wing group attacks Indivisible on Twitter

Indivisibles,

Bad news: FreedomWorks (a branch of the GOP’s media machine) just launched a Twitter tirade against us.

They’re targeting us for a simple reason: they’re afraid of the power we’ve built together.

Groups like FreedomWorks believe that the government should only work for the wealthy, white elite. That’s why they’re scared of a movement like ours -- a movement of thousands of local groups, organizing in their own communities and fighting to give voices to people who’ve been ignored. They’ve seen what we can accomplish together, and they’re doing whatever they can to preserve their status quo. They hope that by attacking us, they can shut us down.

They’re mobilizing their supporters to attack us, so we have to be ready to fight back. Please: make a $10 donation to Indivisible Project today to help us prepare for everything the right wing throws at us and to support all our work.

The work we’re doing together this year and in the future could not be more important. We’re fighting injustice, sexism and racism in our courts and immigration centers, holding our members of Congress to account for terrible votes, and laying the groundwork for absolutely essential democracy reforms to make a more just America for everyone.

That’s what FreedomWorks is scared of, and why they’re coming after us. And that’s the work your donation, big or small, will help us to move forward, today, tomorrow and far into the future.

We’re committed to saving our democracy, no matter what the right wing has to say about it, and we’re so grateful that you’re here with us, fighting back together.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

P.S. -- After you make your donation, look for the “Share on Twitter” button -- we’ll give you the option to let FreedomWorks know how they inspired you to donate to Invisible today!
