Mayor Cantrell recognizes that our quality of life depends on access to affordable housing, safe transportation options, and quality education and job training. Thanks to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, the quality of life in New Orleans is on the rise.
What does improving quality of life in our city mean? Under Mayor Cantrell, it means assisting over 700 people through the city's Rapid Rehousing Program in 2020. It means 1,325 affordable housing units under construction and in development and 1,545 job seekers assisted with employment and training services. It means doubling our city's investment in early childhood education to $3 million. It means putting our people's needs first.
Despite 2020's challenges, our city saw real progress in improving quality of life because of Mayor Cantrell's leadership. There's still work do though, and Mayor Cantrell is ready to do it. Pitch in to her campaign for another four years of progress.
