Hello there — At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to make a grassroots contribution to continue our work for New Mexico in 2021 and beyond. But before I do, I want to make sure you know how your donation will be used and why it’s needed right now. Fundraising numbers are not an accurate measure of the strength of our coalition or the passion and commitment of this grassroots team. The truth is, no amount of money can capture the meaningful conversations I get to have with New Mexicans every day about the future of our state and country. But the money we raise now can allow us to make investments in our organizing efforts and our local partners — all to build the future we envision. It will help us keep our work going strong as we begin to undo the damage that Donald Trump has done to our economy, our environment, and our country. And it will help us stay ahead of Republicans’ attacks on our movement. Right now, Republicans are hard at work fundraising to hold onto their Senate majority. Mitch McConnell and his network of corporate donors know that if they can outraise us, they can continue to line their own pockets and block progress at every turn. But I’ve never known this team to back down from a challenge, and we can’t start now. So, I’m asking you personally: Can you chip in a few dollars toward our end-of-year goal and help keep our campaign going strong in the weeks and months ahead?
