More than 41,000 Americans were killed by guns this year, John. That’s 112 deaths every day—more than four deaths every hour.

This is the worst record to break. And if we don’t double down on the fight to address the gun violence epidemic, we are just going to keep breaking it. We have bold plans to make progress at the state and federal level in 2021, but right now, we don’t have the resources we need to be able to enact those plans. With just two days left in the year we are $10,000 short of our 2020 fundraising goal. If we don’t hit this target, we won’t be able to do all the work we have planned for next year from protecting and expanding investments in gun violence prevention to defending gun safety laws in court. Can you give $5 today to ensure we can continue our lifesaving work in the new year?

This year stretched so many people’s resources thin. The pandemic and the election meant we had to compete with more organizations for fewer resources. We’ve been able to make it so far thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. If you’re able, please contribute today to keep us in this fight.

In a year where we’ve grown accustomed to news of record-breaking case numbers and coronavirus deaths, it feels especially impossible to comprehend the devastation gun violence delivered. But we know that now there are 41,000 empty seats at the dinner table, families heartbroken, and communities broken.

We don’t have to live like this and we don’t have to die like this. Contribute today to fuel our fight to save lives and end gun violence.
