John,
Over the last few years, I’ve sent you a lot of emails about the threat that President Trump and his administration pose to our democracy. His corruption, abuses of power, attacks on watchdogs, nepotism, ethically-challenged Cabinet secretaries, his use of the Department of Justice to benefit his cronies—the list goes on.
But while I can promise you that President Trump leaving office on January 20 means I’ll likely be sounding the alarm a lot less about his unprecedented corruption, that doesn’t mean we can fall into complacency.
Our work is only just beginning. Reforming our democracy—to repair the damage Trump has done and fix the loopholes he has exposed, as well as strengthening the parts of our democracy that have long been neglected—will be a crucial task of 2021 and for years to come. If we let up, and don’t fight to repair our democracy after all of his abuses, then President Trump will have won.
Help CREW ensure that Trump’s attacks on our democracy won’t succeed in the end—if you’re able, please consider making a double-matched donation today. It will go directly towards supporting our legal, investigative and reform efforts.
Thank you for your support of CREW—whether you donate, share with your friends and family or follow us on social media, all of your support means so much to every one of us.
