Dear neighbor,
2020 has been an incredibly challenging year for all of us. The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken our community and continues to test our resolve. However, in the face of such challenges, our community has come together in incredible ways. Each day, I think about how grateful I am to represent California’s 33rd District in Congress. It has been an honor serving you and your family in Washington and I am thankful for the opportunity to continue serving you in the 117th Congress starting next week.
Before we begin what will hopefully be a better and brighter year, here are a few reminders to close out 2020. Covered California open enrollment for health insurance is happening now. If you sign up before December 31st, you will be covered starting January 1st. Also, tonight, I will be hosting another telephone town hall to address questions you may have about the stimulus Congress just passed and the pandemic. You can join us, by filling out the form found here. To listen to the full recording of our COVID-19 telephone town hall from earlier in December, please click here.
Two years ago, when I was sworn in for my third term, I made a promise to my constituents to champion the rule of law, protect our democratic institutions, protect the cybersecurity of consumers, tackle climate change, fight homelessness and restore faith in America across the globe. Since then, I’ve been working hard to fulfill those promises.
Here are a few highlights from the work we’ve done this Congress:

Despite the obstacles that have emerged this year, I am confident we will get through these turbulent times together. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year, and hope 2021 will bring a new sense of peace, happiness and joy to you all.
Stay safe.
Warmly,
Ted W. Lieu
Member of Congress
