John,

My New Year's resolution hasn't changed much over the years. It's pretty simple: Be Good. Do Good Work.

It's the motto that drove me to run against Republican former Congressman Scott Taylor, who time and time again used his position to help special interests and harm Coastal Virginians.

And it's the same motto that drives my work in Congress now, where I wrote the 3rd most laws of any House member (while getting bipartisan cosponsors on the 4th most bills) and was ranked the 3rd most effective member of the House overall in just my first year.

I'm ready to do more Good Work -- but national Republicans will spend millions to try and take this seat back in 2022. I just checked in with my team and we still need 103 donors to chip in before our end-of-month fundraising deadline hits tomorrow night - can I count on you?

Your contribution will help us lay the groundwork so that our campaign can be prepared for whatever they throw at us.

Thank you for stepping up,

Elaine
