Thank the President for Promising to Ban E-cigs

Our Gratitude May Ensure He Keeps It
Two weeks ago, President Trump promised that he will have the FDA use its full authority to remove all flavored e-cigarettes from the market, including mint and menthol flavors (but excluding tobacco flavor) immediately.  These products would not be allowed back on the market until they have undergone a full agency review.

This announcement was concurrent with Health Secretary Alex Azar’s publicly previewing the 2019 National Youth Tobacco Survey figures that will be released in the next few weeks. So far we know:
  • 5 million kids in America are vaping. 27.5% of high school kids use flavored e-cigarette products like JUUL, up from 20.8% last year.
  • 135% increase in HS kids vaping in two years (2017-2019)
  • 5,000 kids begin to vape every day.
As you can imagine, the President’s surprise announcement has unleashed a frenzied response from the vaping community and a multi-million dollar lobbying and media campaign funded by JUUL-Big Tobacco 2.0-focused directly on the President and his closest advisors. Their message is that the President risks alienating his core supporters with this flavor ban and would sustain significant political damage.

This is a bi-partisan issue which affects Republican & Democratic children. Please put politics aside for this very important issue. He is receiving thousands of emails from vapers and JUUL users - he needs to hear from families too!
