take a minute to explain why tomorrow’s FEC fundraising deadline is an
especially important one, and why [ [link removed] ]your donation before the year ends
would make a meaningful difference, if you’re able to pitch in:
* We can’t afford to lose momentum after Election Day. Politics is not a
seasonal sport—in order to guarantee Katie Porter can continue to
fight for years to come, we need to register new voters and keep
engaging members of our district in 2021. That work starts with the
resources we raise now.
* We need to make up lost ground. Facebook is a powerful way to reach
new supporters and raise grassroots contributions, but the company is
still banning any ads from political campaigns like ours. That makes
online donations from emails like this all the more important.
* The GOP could start targeting our district next year. Election results
from this year indicate that Katie’s district is one of the most
vulnerable districts a Democrat could represent. We need to start
building off our momentum now to fend off the strong challengers that
will try to flip this seat back.
