Dear John,
As I look back over the past year, one constant stands out in a year of change: resilience. We have confronted many global challenges during my tenure at the Wilson Center, and this year proved unlike any other.
In spite of this, our staff and scholars displayed tenacity and flexibility. They tackled many of the impacts of COVID-19, from global and regional economic impacts to supply chain issues and even social repercussions of lockdowns, and virtual programming allowed us to expand our reach. This expert understanding of our current global challenges has positioned the Wilson Center as a nonpartisan resource for global leaders, U.S. policymakers, businesses, and civil society, as they consider how to rebuild after this global health crisis.
Over the past year, the support of our Wilson Center community has been critical in providing resources for our nonpartisan research and expert convenings. I am deeply grateful for your engagement.
Looking ahead to the New Year, we hope that you will make a contribution in support of our core mission of bringing Washington to the world and the world to Washington. Your investment in our work will bolster the Wilson Center’s sound, fact-based scholarship and programming, allowing us to continue our important work in 2021.
On behalf of everyone at the Wilson Center, thank you for your consideration. During this season of giving, your warmth and generosity inspire us.
Most of all, stay healthy and safe.
Warm regards,
Jane Harman
Director, President, and CEO
