John--
We have fewer than 48 hours to raise the $50,000 needed to secure a matching gift from one very generous donor--but we need your help to do it.
Can you make a gift to NIAC before midnight on December 31st to help us secure this $50,000 match? [[link removed]]
Your gift during our year-end campaign can make a big impact on NIAC AND provides a greater tax benefit for you! The CARES Act, combined with other recent legislation, presents special and advantageous opportunities for charitable giving in 2020.
By taking advantage of these unique opportunities—which are only available until December 31, 2020—your gift to NIAC will help us fight for the interests of our community. Will you make a donation today? [[link removed]]
Here's how it works: Individuals who use the non-itemized standard deduction are eligible to deduct up to $300 of contributions in computing their Adjusted Gross Income. The contribution must be a cash contribution made in the current tax year and be made to a 501(c)(3) public charity, like NIAC.
Individuals who itemize their deductions can deduct cash contributions to 501(c)(3) public charities, like NIAC, up to 100% of their Adjusted Gross Income for 2020. Contributions will be subject to the 60% of Adjusted Gross Income limit in the following five years, so grouping multi-year gifts or making large cash gifts may be advantageous for you this year. You should consult a tax professional for advice pertaining to your personal circumstances.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Best,
Jamal Abdi
President, NIAC
