Dear John,

This year, we were honored to become Grassroots Leadership’s new co-Executive Directors.  We are deeply excited to be among the first non-profit organizations in the South led by directly impacted women of color.

We are in a new moment that challenges us to learn new ways of being in relationship with one another and the communities we are part of. Our organizing work must be rooted in collective liberation, encompassing both immigration and criminal justice work in radically creative ways on the path towards abolition.

We hope that you continue to support our work, join our group of volunteers, and even become a monthly sustainer. We cannot thrive in this work without your continued support.

When we think about Grassroots Leadership and what makes us different, we ground ourselves in the African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” We are rooted in the fight for collective liberation. And together, we are stronger.

Please consider making a donation before the end of the year to build this strength in 2021.

In solidarity,

Annette Price and Claudia Muñoz

Co-Executive Directors
