This year’s U.S. Senate campaigns aren’t even over, but Republicans aren’t wasting any time. They’re already hard at work to defeat me in the next election.

I already have one opponent and the press is reporting that other high-profile Republicans might challenge me.

The GOP is targeting me early because they think I’m vulnerable for defeat.

They haven’t forgotten that I turned a red Senate seat blue in one of the toughest swing states in the nation. And they sure haven’t forgotten my slim margin of victory — just 1,017 votes!

It was one of the closest Senate elections in history.

The ONLY way I can defend this Democratic Senate seat is by getting an early start in building my re-election campaign.
