Friend,
Wild, windswept tundra. The call of caribou. Birdsong on the frozen air. This is the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the largest national wildlife refuge in the country.
Now, this wilderness is threatened by oil and gas development.
The Trump administration is rushing to lease vulnerable refuge lands to oil companies. Drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge would not only mean disrupting animals' migratory patterns and habitats, but it would also bring roads, airstrips and heavy machinery to the fragile landscape.
Will you make a donation today to help us defend the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling?

Donate before midnight on Dec. 31, and generous donors will match your gift dollar for dollar, doubling your impact up to $100,000 nationwide.
From millions of migratory birds traveling from six continents, to the more than 200,000-strong Porcupine caribou herd, the coastal plain of the Arctic Refuge teems with wildlife. Each individual species -- fledgling snowy owls, lumbering polar bears, soaring golden eagles and more -- plays a part in its complex ecosystem.[1,2]
Already, Arctic wildlife face a growing threat from climate change and rapidly warming temperatures. Adding drilling and potential oil spills only further endangers the animals that call the Arctic home.
Donate today to become part of our work to fight climate change and stop drilling in the Arctic Refuge.

We've worked for decades to keep this landscape pristine, protected from industry and development. Our most recent efforts have included helping to convince all of the major banks in the U.S. not to finance drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and collecting 30,000-plus comments against the lease sale.
But until Congress passes a bill permanently protecting the Arctic Refuge by designating it as a wilderness area, the refuge won't be safe.
Will you join us and donate today to protect this sacred place?
