The U.S. immigration system has faced unprecedented attacks. But the American Immigration Council boldly used the courts and advocacy to stop some of the most harmful policies.
Now, the Council stands ready to repair and rebuild our immigration system in 2021.

- Combat misinformation.
The Council is a leader that provides resources to the public. In 2020, we released over 70 research publications. These resources will be essential to shape the immigration debate.
- File more lawsuits.
The government must be held accountable for unfair immigration policies—which is why the Council takes the government to court. We litigated 16 cases in federal court this year to demand due process for immigrants and will need
- Mobilize hundreds of volunteers to provide legal services to those in immigration detention.
Until immigration detention ends, the Council will continue to fight for due process and justice for detained immigrants through our Immigration Justice Campaign. This year, over 160 clients of the Campaign won their freedom.
The Council’s multifaced approach to changing immigration law and policy is unique—and effective. And thanks to supporters like you, we are positioned to make an even bigger impact next year.
