This is bad ? really bad? ? ? ? ? Friend,

This is moving quickly in the final days of 2020: The Trump administration has just rushed a final wave of mining projects, set to happen on America's majestic public lands.

We're asking: Can you make a year-end contribution to stop him? A major donor is tripling every contribution before midnight tomorrow. Even $5 is enough to make a difference ? [link removed]

In South Dakota, a massive uranium mine ? one that would require injecting water underground to dissolve the uranium before pumping the solution to the surface ? is now barreling forward.

In Arizona, the administration is preparing to take land from the San Carlos Apache Tribe to build one of the country's largest copper mines. The move would destroy some of the Apache's most significant cultural sites, and tribal groups are preparing a major resistance effort.

In Utah, Trump is preparing to give final approval to drill for helium in national wilderness where energy leasing is currently banned. In Nevada, Trump is preparing to green-light an open-pit lithium mine. On the East and West coasts, dangerous and unpopular offshore drilling proposals are reportedly being rushed.

Friend ? we have to stop them. And each of these fights CAN be won, but we need to move quickly. In many cases, stalling these efforts ? even for a couple weeks ? means the Biden administration can reverse course. But it entirely depends on how far they get now. If these actions are finalized, they're binding.

The environmental movement turned out in a major way to defeat Trump. We did it fair and square. We can't let him permanently destroy the environment on his way out the door.

It's going to take a major campaign ? our last one of 2020. We're asking for your help: Before the end of the year, can you pitch in to help save the environment ? one last time this year?

Please, make a year-end contribution of $5 or more today. A major donor is triple matching every contribution before midnight tomorrow ? [link removed]

President-elect Biden has just announced an incredible, diverse cabinet that will be ready to tackle the climate crisis as soon as they're confirmed ? leaders like Rep. Deb Haaland, set to take over the Interior Department, who will be the first Native American Cabinet secretary in history.

So many of Trump's last-minute mining operations harm Indigenous communities ? we'll finally be in a position to turn things around.

But friend ? that won't happen if the environmental movement stays silent right now. Mitch McConnell has signaled that he plans to block the nomination process for many of Biden's nominees ? and he has the backing of Big Oil.

This isn't just about stopping Trump in his final weeks ? it's about setting the stage for the next four years. We have a shot ? a real shot ? but every single senator needs to feel serious pressure in the leadup to the nomination fight.

Bottom line, we need your help.

Please, make a year-end contribution to the League of Conservation Voters today. Every donation will be triple-matched until midnight tomorrow, and even $5 is enough to make a difference ? [link removed]

Friend ? thank you for everything you've done in 2020, and through the entire Trump administration. These past four years have been hard ? but they could have been so much worse if not for your efforts. I'm looking forward to working together to turn things around in 2021.

Sincerely,

Gene Karpinski
