Dear Friend,
When we had to cancel the Evening Over Violence gala, POV’s largest fundraiser of the year, we lost the opportunity to gather together and raise much-needed unrestricted funding to sustain our work. We acted quickly and reimagined our event as a dynamic three-part virtual series, celebrating and educating our communities while honoring survivors and leaders for their brave impact in our field. Each event featured conversations between some of our favorite brave space builders: Leah Aldridge, Esta Soler, Tinisch Hollins, LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, Kimberlé Crenshaw and Mia Mingus, paired with powerful female musical performers including Martha Gonzalez, Thalma de Freitas and Tylana Enomoto.
