Thanks to supporters like you, more than 22,000 students stepped into the role of a United States senator at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute last year. Through innovative and nationally recognized educational programs like our Senate Immersion Module ([link removed]) , these students experienced first-hand how our government works and the importance of skills such as listening, compromise, and healthy debate.

Educators recognize the value of immersive civic engagement and civil discourse programs. They turn to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for help engaging students in conversations about the importance of participation in our democracy.

Many schools struggle to meet the costs associated with field trips and cannot participate in active learning experiences like those offered by the Kennedy Institute. Gifts to the Martin W. Richard Bus Scholarship Fund help cover transportation costs to the Institute for youth and school groups from underserved communities throughout Massachusetts.
