Dear John,

As the year comes to end, we think of the resolutions we made for 2020. We set goals—both as individuals and as an organization—with no idea that a pandemic was on the horizon.

Our team at Americans United for Life adapted to shortened legislative sessions, pivoted to home offices, and adjusted to new ways of advocacy for human life. We watched global economies grind to a near-halt as the realization of something we and our supporters have long known began to dawn on leaders and populations at large: Without life, what else matters?

We look to 2021 with hope. For all its challenges, we end 2020 with American sentiment on our side and with some of the best political conditions to date for AUL’s work. With the confirmations in recent years of Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, the U.S. Supreme Court’s pro-Roe faction has crumbled. What a cause for celebration it will be when some of the most powerful individuals in our nation restore the fundamental human rights of the smallest, most vulnerable members of our society! Your support helps us prepare and stand ready with strategic plans for every state to move forward into a post-Roe reality, and your gift today helps our team prepare for this inevitable reality.
