2020 may be coming to a close, but our work in Congress is still not done.

Earlier this week, a bipartisan majority in the House voted to override President Trump's veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Trump's veto of this legislation was reckless. I'm proud to say that I voted with Democrats and Republicans alike on this bill. We should always be able to come together for our national security and our service members, and that’s exactly what happened with this override.

Additionally, my colleagues and I in the House voted to increase stimulus checks to $2,000. Our families are facing a crisis and we need to do everything we can to help. Now, we need Mitch McConnell and the Senate to listen to the American people and stop blocking this critical relief.

In the new year, I promise to keep fighting for more COVID-19 relief for you and your family and remain committed to doing what is right for our troops and our national security.
