The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic
Security (CARES) Act makes it easier to give in
2020.
The CARES Act allows taxpayers who
take the standard deduction to make up to $300 of
charitable contributions to qualified charities
(including Texas Performing Arts) by December 31,
2020.
For those who do itemize their deductions,
the CARES Act allows for cash contributions to qualified
charities, such as Texas Performing Arts, to be deducted
up to 100% of your adjusted gross income for the 2020
calendar year.
