Dear John,
This year truly showed us that trans Brilliance. Power. Joy exists always.
Across time and place.
In new virtual spaces we've created together.
Everywhere we are, and everywhere we gather.
If you haven't already, please support TLC as we wrap up this year and look to the future.
In solidarity,
Kris Hayashi

P.S. to donors from TLC's Development Team –
You may know that the new COVID-19 Relief Bill includes a new incentive to promote charitable donations.
Recent changes to laws concerning tax deductions for donations include a new, 1-year (2020) above-the-line deduction for cash contributions up to $300 to eligible organizations like TLC, for all taxpayers (not just taxpayers who itemize their deductions).
Additionally, for individual taxpayers who do itemize their tax deductions, the previous limit on deductions for charitable donations is suspended for the 2020 tax year.
Transgender Law Center's EIN/tax ID as a 501c3 nonprofit organization is 05-0544006.
As always, you can reach us at [email protected] with any questions about donating.

Photos from the January 2020 launch of our Trans Agenda for Liberation
[Image description: Side view of two TLC staff members, Mickaela and Ash, hugging each other. They are both wearing white clothing, in an indoor partially purple-lit auditorium space that appears out of focus behind them. Ash, on the right side, has dark skin and black dreads, and has his eyes closed. Mickaela, on the left, is only visible by her curly black hair, tinted blue, held in a ponytail with a gold clasp.]
[Image description: Side view of multiple rows of TLC staff and coalition members wearing primarily white clothing and standing together on an indoor stage. Most of those in the front row are visibly holding a few flowers each, in orange, pink, or yellow, with greenery. The two foremost, and only people in clear focus, are Ace, TLC’s former Director of Development, and Kris, TLC’s current Executive Director. Ace has medium-dark skin, round glasses with pale brown frames, black hair in twists to their shoulders, and an orange rose boutonniere pinned to a gray vest that is open over their white shirt. They are in the midst of speaking. Kris, looking slightly downward from the stage, has medium-light skin, with short straight black hair and a mustache. His white t-shirt has a black design.]

They have medium-brown skin, straight black hair in a bun at the nape of their neck, and are wearing dark pink lipstick, pearl earrings, and a light gray jacket. In the left corner is a deep yellow flower they appear to be holding as they applaud.]

The coalition member is speaking, facing to the left of the frame, and wearing white clothing along with the group. They have dark skin and long black hair in twists, pulled back slightly from their face, and are wearing bright pink lipstick and blue-gray eye makeup.]
[Image description: Front view of TLC staff and coalition members standing closely together on stage in multiple rows. The stage backdrop is dramatically lit in shades of purple and green. Everyone is dressed in either all white or black, and most people have one fist raised or are holding a few flowers, in orange, pink, or yellow. They are chanting together. The four most visible people are in the front row. The first person from the left is the coalition member in the previous photo, wearing a white shirt and bright pink lipstick. They have long black hair in twists, pulled back slightly from their face. The second person from the left is a coalition member with medium-light skin and long platinum blond hair, wearing pink lip color and a white t-shirt with a multicolored design. The third person from the left is TLC Senior Organizer Mickaela, who has dark skin, a gold septum piercing, and long black curly hair tinted blue and in a low ponytail. She is also wearing all white. The last person visible in the front row has medium-dark skin and dark brown hair. Their hair is pulled back, and they are wearing a black shirt that reads “Yo Soy” then “TransLatina” over a circular trans flag logo.]

They have medium-dark skin and short black hair with bangs feathered just above their eyes, wearing black eyeliner and deep pink lipstick. They are wearing neon pink earbuds and holding a single yellow and coral-pink rose against their check, with sprigs of yellow-flowered greenery. They are gazing warmly into the camera with a slight smile.]
