We’re Turning the Tide on Cultural Marxism to Advance the Principles of Heartland Conservatism!


We’re halfway to our year-end goal…
but we need to raise an additional $50,000!


Dear Friends, Donors, and Subscribers,

Presumably, this will not be the only end-of-the-year solicitation you’ll be receiving, but for those on the traditional Right, it may be the most important. We at the Charlemagne Institute (publishers of Chronicles magazine and Intellectual Takeout) are asking for financial assistance as we battle for traditional cultural and social norms in what can sometimes seem a lonely fight.

We are not part of any authorized public conversation and we wage our twilight struggle entirely with our own resources. The educational and moral mission we have undertaken is exceedingly ambitious given the restraints with which we operate. But it is our firm conviction that what we are doing, what we are publishing, would be unread…and possibly unwritten if we were not around.

The simple fact of the matter is that if Chronicles magazine closed shop (Heaven forfend!), nothing now would replace it. One of our harshest critics, wikirational, praised Chronicles about ten years ago for its “erudition” and “eloquence,” even while deploring our reactionary views. Our leftist critic also noted that our product stood high in quality among “conservative” magazines, a place that we believe we continue to occupy.

Since we are not a member of any media club, however, we are dependent on the generosity of our discriminating patrons, who value our contributions to political and cultural discourse. In truth, your aid better enables us to offset concerted efforts to limit our reach…or to silence us altogether. Indeed, your support ([link removed]) will allow us to pursue the fierce battle over the soul of our nation ever more vigorously into the new year.


With only a couple days to spare, we still need to raise an additional $50,000.
