John,

We are so thankful for the broad base of support from Portland community leaders. If you looked in today's Press Herald, you'll see a letter to the editor ([link removed]) from Pam Plumb, who chaired the Charter Commission that created Portland's popularly-elected mayor position.

"The mayor’s intentionally limited power requires a collaborative approach, building consensus with fellow councilors and working collaboratively with the city manager...This election allows us to select a mayor who will be a builder of consensus on policy issues, an attentive listener to the general public’s interests and a spokesperson for the city as a whole."

"I encourage you to vote for a positive change in mayor this November. I’ll be voting for Spencer Thibodeau."
Pleaseread and share Pam's letter ([link removed]) with your Portland friends, family, and neighbors. Thank you!

—Spencer
