I lost.

I lost my 2020 rematch against Republican David Valadao by a devastatingly small margin.

That is the bad news. The good news is we still have the House majority. In 2022, we'll need an unprecedented effort to protect that majority and that effort runs right through CA-21. We can take back my district but there's a lot of work to be done and I can't afford to miss a single goal, so I'm asking: Can you rush me $10 before my PUBLIC End-of-Quarter Deadline in 48 hours? >> [link removed]

I'm not going to lie, losing my seat and the honor of representing the Central Valley is incredibly hard.

But in 2022, I know things are going to be different.

Why?

→ Because knocking doors delivered me my victory in 2018. With the pandemic behind us, we will be back to meeting voters face to face in 2022.
→ Because after coming shockingly close to losing our majority, I know Democrats won't sit on the sidelines.
→ Because while the GOP might have deep pockets, they don't represent the values of the Central Valley and I trust we will prevail.

I'm humbled that the hard working Americans who supported me haven't given up.

So I'm not giving up either.

But I do need your help. Can you spare me a few dollars to help me win? If you donate at this link, I will be personally notified of your donation: [link removed]

In 2020, Republican dark money won. In 2022, donations from people like you and me are going to win.

Thank you for your support,
