Friend - I just heard that we are falling dangerously short of what we need to raise before the end of the month. I hope you'll allow me a moment to explain why hitting this fundraising goal - the most important yet in our campaign by far - is essential to winning this runoff election.

Right now we are at a massive disadvantage, and please believe me when I say: I'm in the fight of my life. Not only has my opponent, unelected Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R), spent $23 million of her own personal fortune, she's currently reserved over $40 MILLION in attack ads against me. Even worse, she's aided by $100 million in Republican spending. (Yes, you read that right: 1-0-0 MILLION.)

I'm not taking a cent of corporate PAC money, and I sure don't have a treasure trove of stock to sell and sink into my campaign. I've got this grassroots team - and I need to be completely upfront with you: Hitting this goal is the only way we will win. And if we lose, we'll throw away Democrats' only chance to take back the Senate.
