On January 5, we’ll finally know which party controls the Senate after the results of Georgia’s two Senate runoff elections. In other words, they’ll decide whether or not Mitch McConnell will hold onto his position as Senate Majority Leader.
For years, McConnell has embraced his role as ‘Grim Reaper’ of the Senate -- a figure who never fails to block Democratic progress before it can even begin. (He’s been really committing to the bit this year, too, having spent the past nine months stalling stimulus bills that would provide struggling Americans with relief in the midst of the pandemic.)
