On February 21, after years of hard work, Australia’s famous Noosa point breaks, from North Sunshine Beach to Noosa River, were dedicated as the 10th World Surfing Reserve. Learn more ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

For the first time in 10 years, Cowell's Beach was not included on Heal The Bay’s annual “Beach Bummer” list - a major victory in the campaign to improve water quality at the famous Santa Cruz surf break. Learn More. ([link removed][UNIQID])

10,000 acres of Chile's central coast were approved for federal protection this year! Organized with our partners, Fundación Rompientes, the Piedra del Viento Marine Sanctuary includes world-class wave Topocalma and Puertocillo. Learn more ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Save The Waves was pleased to announce that Playa Hermosa, Garabito, Costa Rica was officially approved as the next World Surfing Reserve – the first WSR in Central America. Learn More. ([link removed][UNIQID])

After years of campaigning to save Doughmore Beach, the 'Nature Trumps Walls' campaign stopped the construction of major seawalls that would have had catastrophic coastal impact. Learn more ([link removed][UNIQID]) .
