American families need this. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Friend --

This isn’t a game -- Americans need real COVID relief.

One week ago we passed bipartisan legislation bringing relief to American
families and businesses for the first time since April, acknowledging this was
just one step forward of many. The Trump Administration promised Americans would
have checks in hand this week -- instead, Donald Trump threw yet another
tantrum, refusing to sign the bill and demanded $2,000 checks for Americans.

Democrats have fought for greater direct relief from the start -- but we needed
to get the $600 checks in Americans’ hands, then work on $2,000 checks. Instead,
Trump sat on it for a week, eventually signing it at the last possible second.

Now we have bipartisan support for $2,000 checks, and Mitch McConnell is the one
who is holding up the progress. I was just on the Senate floor calling for
unanimous consent to pass the House’s bill to give $2,000 to Americans who need
it NOW -- and Mitch said no.

Enough already. We can tell Mitch he’s wrong until we’re blue in the face -- trust me, I have --
but the only way we can fix this is by flipping the Senate, and we can do that
one week from today in Georgia by electing Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.

Will you end 2020 by investing in a Democratic Senate? Tell Mitch his time is up by donating $5 or more right now. [link removed] $1 → [link removed]   $10 → [link removed] $25 → [link removed]   $50 → [link removed] $100 → [link removed]   OTHER → [link removed]

Friend --

Today, for the first time since April, Congress worked together to pass COVID
relief for the American people.

Is it enough? Absolutely not. This bill was not nearly sufficient.

Mitch McConnell had months to do something and waited until the last possible
minute and didn't take the bold steps necessary for the American people. But this bill was a down payment for the American people, and because of bold steps by Senate Democrats this emergency bill won’t include
any of the dangerous GOP corporate immunity provisions to limit workers' rights,
and it won’t include provisions that would gratuitously limit the Fed's
authority and hamstring the incoming Biden administration.

And there’s plenty this bill does do: Critically, it included an eviction
moratorium and rental assistance programs, $13 billion in funding for food
assistance programs at a time when more than 27 million Americans have reported
they don’t have enough to eat, mass transit support (including $4 billion for
the MTA), funding for native communities hit hardest by the pandemic, and more. But it’s still not enough. Not nearly enough.

If we want to make good on the down payment -- if we want a recovery bill
actually worthy of the challenges facing the American people -- we must take
control of the Senate. It’s that simple.

Georgia’s special election is on January 5th, and it’s our last chance to secure a Democratically controlled Senate: Will you donate $5 or more right now to take back the Senate and support Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock in Georgia? [link removed] $1 → [link removed]   $10 → [link removed] $25 → [link removed]   $50 → [link removed] $100 → [link removed]   OTHER → [link removed]
