Spotlight Series: What Dancers Bring to the World of Work

 

Thursday, January 21 
1–2:30 pm PT/3–4:30 pm CT/4–5:30 pm ET

Years of exacting dance training and performance build key skills needed to succeed in the coronavirus world: adaptability and flexibility, creativity and innovation, critical thinking, emotional Intelligence and leadership, along with mind/body awareness and time management muscles. This session will highlight strategies and resources dancers can utilize to connect their impressive toolkit to the current labor market.

 


The Career Center

The Career Center offers a comprehensive suite of online programs and services that help entertainment industry and performing arts professionals to identify and find sideline work and discover new careers outside the industry.

Get started by attending The Career Center Orientation (Monday* or Thursday**) to enroll in the career services offered.

Health Insurance HQ provides an update on the health care landscape from the expert team at The Actors Fund’s Artists Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC). In New Jersey, California and New York, the deadline to enroll in health coverage is January 31, 2021. Check if your state has an extended deadline and learn more.
