Dear John,

The Supreme Court has just ruled that Boris Johnson’s prorogation of parliament was unlawful. He broke the rules of democracy and has now been humbled by the courts.

This case has exposed the fundamental undemocratic arrogance of Boris Johnson and the Vote Leave fanatics he has installed in Downing Street. And I, for one, am sick of the lies, the excuses, the dirty tricks and the disregard for our democracy.

That’s why, on 19 October – the day after the crucial European Council summit – we will gather in London for a truly historic march.

But we need your help. The march earlier this year cost £500,000, and we want this one to be even more impactful. Can you chip in?
