The USCRI volunteers took us to get shots and enroll in school. That was such an important help for us. Every year for the next five years, they brought me and my siblings school supplies. With USCRI’s help, I graduated from high school and applied to college.
I don’t have the words to explain all the ways the people at USCRI have helped. But the most important thing was they gave us back our self-esteem. When you are living with fear it is hard to believe in yourself. It affects you so much.
This year I completed Certified Nursing Assistant training at Central Carolina Community College! My goal is to become a nurse. I have ambition. I want a chance to be all that I can be.”
