In the fight to protect the Coastal Plains of the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge, Gwich'in Tribes are seeking a temporary restraining order
to prohibit the Trump administration's rushed approval of seismic exploration
and oil and gas leases next month.

Representation Matters

Native Americans are underrepresented at every level of non-tribal government
[[link removed]] . But, change is in the air. This year, Native American candidates successfully
won elections across the country. NARF will continue to advocate for a day when
Native voices are equally heard.

Protecting Tribal Sovereignty

We are proud to have helped preserve the sovereign right of the Red Lake Band of
Chippewa Indians to run their fisheries without interference from the federal
government.
