This is a really short email. Today we’re just one week away from the highly anticipated Georgia runoff elections, which will determine control of the U.S. Senate. And they need your help.
The stakes couldn’t be clearer. Georgia’s Republican Senators had long opposed giving each American $2,000 to make it through this pandemic. Their Democratic opponents have been pushing for $2,000 checks.
And it’s clear if we’re going to make the kind of progress we’ve been fighting for, it’s imperative that we take the gavel back from Mitch McConnell and flip the Senate by electing Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock next Tuesday.
Please, if you can, rush a split donation now to help Jon and Rev. Warnock’s campaigns Get Out the Vote in this final week and have what it takes to win:

John,
In a minute, I’m going to ask you to help elect Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in their runoff elections on January 5th. But first, I want to explain why it’s so important:
For years, Mitch McConnell has had a stranglehold on the Congress and Senate.
McConnell has blocked expanding and protecting healthcare, lowing drug prices, protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions, safeguarding our elections, expanding voting rights, passing common-sense gun reforms and universal background checks, and until this week, relief for workers and families suffering the economic and health effects of the pandemic. Even now, he will not approve the level of support the American people really need.
Just for a minute, imagine what a Democratic Senate, working with a Democratic House and with a Democratic President, could do:
First, we could pass much greater relief for Americans who desperately need it. More direct payments, help for state and local governments which in turn pay for first responders, more help for small businesses, renters, teachers, frontline workers, and much more.
Second, we would clear out Mitch McConnell’s legislative graveyard, pass the progressive bills he’s bottled up, and make real, lasting, and systemic change for the American people.
And finally, the Congress would work with the incoming Administration, rather than against it. On expanding healthcare. On fighting climate change. On investing in green energy and infrastructure. On finally passing immigration reform. On everything.
That’s why this runoff election in Georgia is so critical. To everything.
Can you split a contribution between Rev. Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, and me right now? If we can flip both Georgia seats, I know that we can make real progress:

This isn’t just about flipping the Senate. It’s also about beating two awful Republican Senators who have put profits over people time and time again.
During the pandemic, Republican Senator David Perdue was downplaying the risks of COVID-19 and making it harder to get healthcare to people who needed it, all while doing hundreds of stock trades to protect his own assets and bottom line.
Kelly Loeffler, the unelected Republican Senator, sold off almost $20 million in stocks before the public was fully aware of the threat from the coronavirus. And since then, she’s mocked mask-wearing and attacked the seriousness of the virus.
These two Senators richly deserve to be defeated, not just because of their personal conduct, but because they made it harder for Americans and Georgians to get the care and relief they needed during the middle of the pandemic.
We can beat them, John.
We need to give it everything we’ve got, so we can begin to make real progress and finally turn the page on these dark four years. Can you split a contribution to Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff so we can flip the Senate and make real change?

Now is not the time to take the foot off the gas pedal if we want to make real, lasting progress. I know we can do it.
Thanks for all you do, and a very Happy Holidays to you and your family.
