Friends,

We accomplished some incredible things together this year. In states across the country, we demanded action from our lawmakers and elected new leaders who will make progress on gun safety.

We elected a gun safety president, held our majority in the House, and in just a few days we will learn if our efforts have paid off in Georgia to flip the Senate.

And we’re already ready to get to work. We plan to continue putting pressure on Congress to pass background checks. And there are a few things we are urging the incoming Biden-Harris Administration to do:

1. Begin a rulemaking process to regulate “ghost guns”
2. Nominate a strong director for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
3. Prioritize community violence prevention within the Department of Justice
4. Pressure Congress to pass a universal background checks bill once and for all

But our work is far from over. Continuing to build momentum in 2021 will take a tremendous amount of grassroots support. So that’s why today I have to ask:

Will you make a $3 donation to Giffords PAC before our final fundraising deadline of 2020? Our goal is to raise $225,000 so we can get off to a strong start and continue this important work in 2021. Your support will go a long way towards passing laws that will save lives.

2020 was an important year for gun safety, and none of it would have been possible without your support.

Your voice is a crucial part of this movement to save lives. Mitch McConnell and his Republican Senate have ignored the majority of Americans who want stronger gun laws. But while they protect their own power, we will continue organizing and fighting back.
