Part of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s genius was her ability to show that gender inequity harms men as well as women.

At Ipas, we know that men are essential partners in the fight for gender justice. In Bolivia, for example, we train and support university students (like those pictured above) working to break down machismo and show their peers how toxic masculinity harms both men and women in their society. In turn, young men learn how they can support women’s reproductive rights—including the right to abortion.
