John -- Too many families trapped in Tijuana are suffering because of conditions intentionally created by Trump’s cruel immigration policy.

John --
I work here in Tijuana with children and families who are facing freezing temperatures and a devastating spike of coronavirus infections, but are stuck: trapped by the Trump administration’s cruel border policies.
At a time when families should be able to be together and safe -- celebrating the holidays -- these mothers, fathers, and children are in a limbo with no clear path forward. It’s a horrible way to spend the holidays -- but you can help.

This suffering is intentional, designed by the Trump administration to crush families’ dreams of finding safety, and they’re going to make it as hard as possible to fix this crisis. Anxiety and frustration are in the faces of everyone we work with, especially because some have waited over two years and still haven't had their asylum cases heard.
But I’ve also seen incredible grit and resilience, and I have hope that these families will ultimately find the future for their children that we all hope for: one where they are safe, together, and can thrive. That’s where you come in.
A warm place to sleep, hand sanitizer and masks, gas to cook food: our team in Tijuana provides the basics families trapped in shelters need to survive. We also provide activities for children and workshops for parents.
We even offer mental health services to care for parents who have moved heaven and earth for a better shot at life for their children, and I’ve seen first hand just how powerful that therapy can be, because it’s based on a simple principle: care.
Every donation to help our team care for children is a huge help, so if you're able, please donate what you can:

While the Trump administration is leaving office, we’re not taking for granted that everything will automatically get better. We’ve seen for so long that discrimination against migrants continues. That’s why, no matter what, we’ll be here for the families who need our support.
Thanks for all you do,
Othir Santistevan, Coordinator
