Dear John,
2020 has been tough. Really, really tough. We've faced crisis after crisis after crisis. But we've persisted — and we have a whole lot to be proud of too.
Together, we elected so many new progressive leaders to office. That includes WFP champions Jamaal Bowman and Mondaire Jones, and I can't wait to work alongside them in Congress.
Together, we defeated Trump and elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Now, they have a mandate to actually tackle the crises that exploded in 2020, from the pandemic to the economic collapse, from violent policing to climate-change-fueled wildfires.
And in New York state, WFP sent them to the White House with a big progressive boost: the strongest-ever vote total on the Working Families Party ballot line.
But here's the truth: Meeting this moment was always going to involve more than winning any one election.
To make the big, structural change our country so desperately needs, we need to keep pushing our elected leaders to deliver for working people, and we need to elect even more leaders who will fight for a nation that works for everyone.
For two decades, the Working Families Party has been engaged in these fights, and a powerful force for change. If you can, will you make an end-of-year contribution to the Working Families Party to help elect progressive leaders up and down the ballot in 2021 and 2022?

In 2021, with a new administration in the White House, real change is within our reach.
That starts with the Senate runoff election in Georgia on January 5th, where WFP organizers have been working nonstop to turn out voters so we can flip the Senate and elect leaders who will put people first.
The incoming Biden-Harris administration can also take bold action on day one, including declaring a climate crisis, canceling student debt, bringing down drug prices for millions, addressing racial inequity, and raising the minimum wage to $15 for federal contractors and subcontractors.
And from taking on corruption, to holding law enforcement accountable, to making the wealthy pay their fair share, we need to keep fighting for bold, progressive policies that are broadly popular with voters across the country.
We can fix what's broken in our nation.
But to make it happen, we will need to come together and hold our elected leaders accountable (and yes, that includes Democrats). And we will need to keep pushing for as long as it takes until we've built the America of our greatest imaginations.
Will you contribute $5 or whatever you can to the Working Families Party to continue the fight into 2021 and beyond?
John, if we fight together, if we stand together, if we persist together, we can win the type of big, structural changes that will touch people's lives.
It is an honor to be in this fight with you. Let's stay in the fight, and get this done.
Thanks for being a part of this, and wishing you and your family a Happy New Year,
Elizabeth
