With our hearts centered in the church and our eyes focused on renewal, Missio Alliance cultivates theological imagination that leads to action in our communities. One of our primary platforms is our online Writing Collectives.

We have an amazing team of writers and contributors—featuring theologians and missional practitioners from all over the nation—who contribute articles. Our writers provide insightful and necessary theological analyses on the many issues the church on mission faces today. We work hard to ensure the diversity of those who write for us, continually seeking to add writers of color and global voices.

We’re taking steps to elevate our commitment to bringing BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and Majority World voices into our conversations.

We could quickly meet our total goal of $8,000 if just 35 people donated $10 ([link removed][UNIQID]) 0. ([link removed][UNIQID]) If you’re able to give more, or if a lesser amount would be a sacrificial gift for you, we would be deeply grateful for donations of any amount. Thank you for your consideration.

As you consider your year-end giving, we want to ensure that you are aware of the financial benefits provided to you through this year’s CARES Act. Included in the Act are three unique giving opportunities:
1. A $300 “above-the-line” charitable deduction. All taxpayers who do not itemize deductions can deduct up to $300 of cash contributions made to eligible charities. This gives a chance for everyone to get a credit for at least a portion of their charitable giving. While cash contributions are eligible, contributions to donor advised funds (DAF), donations of property, or appreciated stock do not qualify for this deduction.
2. 100% of adjusted gross income deduction (AGI). For individuals who itemize their deductions, the CARES Act offers a provision in tax year 2020 for individuals to deduct up to 100% of one’s AGI for eligible charitable cash contributions. (The previous deduction limit for cash gifting was 60% of AGI).
3. Corporate giving deduction increased from 10% to 25%. For 2020 only, corporations can deduct up to 25% of taxable income for cash donations to charities. Similar to the other two new CARES Act benefits, only cash contributions made to eligible charities qualify for this increased corporate deduction.
