Enough Project

Dear Supporter,

[ [link removed] ]

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created greater urgency for The Sentry's battle against deadly corruption. Government healthcare systems have been compromised, and we have pivoted our work to help address this crisis. Our investigations have begun to document evidence related to healthcare issues, such as stolen medicine, contracts riddled with fraud, and public health budgets diverted into private accounts. In Sudan, we have mapped out how a mechanism for emergency spending during the pandemic has been abused by a small group of well-connected insiders, and we have probed a multibillion-dollar medical infrastructure project that never materialized, identifying numerous international beneficiaries of large-scale contracts that have no apparent relevant experience.

As the pandemic response continues to evolve, we will draw attention to these problems, advocate for targeted action in response, and identify possible risks and recommendations to avoid the misuse or diversion of funds moving forward.

Our work has become even more critical in recent weeks as the pandemic has worsened across the globe. *Fortunately, every donation we receive from now until the end of the year will be matched, dollar for dollar, until midnight on December 31st.* [ [link removed] ] [ [link removed] ]

The Sentry remains committed to breaking the deadly cycle of corruption and conflict, and we know that, with your continued support, we can achieve even more in the years to come. *We hope you will help make a difference for the people of East and Central Africa by giving a gift today.* [ [link removed] ]

Sincerely,

Ian Schwab
