John,
Thanks to you, older voters swung hard toward Joe Biden in last month’s election. Donald Trump’s negligence during the pandemic and attacks on our earned benefits were simply too much for seniors to bear.
But, even with Joe Biden taking office in just over three weeks, we are not done. Georgia’s critical U.S. Senate runoff elections are one week from today. And we need to, once again, show the power of our movement.
Can you call older voters in Georgia and help them make a plan to vote between now and Election Day on January 5th?
Whether it’s passing additional, sorely needed, rounds of pandemic aid, or it’s protecting and expanding Social Security in 2021, these goals are all going to be at the mercy of Mitch McConnell if he continues to set the agenda in the U.S. Senate.
Unless we rip the gavel from Mitch’s hands one week from today by electing Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the U.S. Senate, McConnell will stand in the way of every single piece of legislation needed to support working families, communities of color and older Americans during this devastating pandemic and beyond.
Help older voters in Georgia make a plan to vote between now and January 5th by signing up for one or more phone bank shifts in the homestretch.
It’s been a long election season, and an even longer four years with Trump in the White House. But just imagine what we can accomplish together if Democrats control the U.S. Senate and set the agenda for the year to come.
Thank you for your continued support,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works PAC
