John, we have some bad news and good news.
We’ll start with the bad: We just checked the numbers this evening and right now we’re falling behind on our $50,000 end-of-year fundraising goal. If we don’t pick up the pace, we may not reach our goal in time and have the funds we need to be prepared for our next big District Attorney races in 2021.
But there’s good news: Hitting this goal is a team effort and we can still make it if we work together. If two supporters from xxxxxx each chip in right now, we’ll be back on track to hit our goal by Thursday.
Thanks to supporters like you, John, we elected EIGHT reform champions for District Attorney positions this year. They’re joining a wave of other District Attorneys we’ve helped elect who are enacting bold policies to end mass incarceration and hold police accountable. Without exaggeration, Real Justice DA’s are changing the lives of millions of people right now and the future of safety in their communities.
None of this would’ve been possible without your help. Period.
But our work is far from over. While grassroots support for reform in our justice system has surged, our opponents are angrier than ever. To be blunt, there’s a target on our movement. Establishment DAs, police unions, and the GOP can’t stand to see momentum growing for our reform movement — so they’re already raising millions to stop our endorsed candidates from winning next year.
If we want to continue electing leaders who can transform the justice system from the inside out and bring real change to more communities in 2021, we need to be ready to fight. That means having the resources to help our endorsed candidates reach out to voters, build organizing teams, run ads, and spread their campaign message. That’s why it’s so critical for us to reach this end-of-year goal.
Let’s finish 2020 strong,
Real Justice
