John,
To protect people and ensure sustainable farming and healthy food, we need to change the fundamental structure of our food system. That starts with getting rid of factory farms!
The U.S. food system is dominated by factory farms that confine tens of thousands of animals in cramped, unsanitary and cruel conditions. These factory farms are not the result of inevitable market forces, but intentional policies made in Washington to benefit the giant corporations that make up Big Ag — policies that we can change.
Big Ag continues to fill its pockets while polluting our lands and water. These giant corporate agricultural operations force about 10,000 family farms out of business every year. They push relentlessly to weaken and eliminate basic laws and regulations that protect people’s health and the environment, and their employees work in dangerous and unhealthy conditions, making our food less safe.
Enough is enough. We need to ban new and expanding factory farms. We need to transition to a better food and farming system for all.
This December, thanks to a group of generous members, you can QUADRUPLE your power to ban factory farms and protect our food, water and climate. Donate now and for every $1 you donate our group of generous members will donate $3, up to our organizational goal of $500,000.

It is time to ban factory farms! To do this, we need to demand that elected officials change policy and stop propping up this industry. With the pandemic exposing how precarious and dangerous these factory farms are to both workers and eaters, our movement to ban factory farms is more important than ever.
We’re mobilizing support for common sense federal legislation that will make our food system more sustainable and our meat plant workers less vulnerable during the pandemic and after.
Congress has the power and ability to revitalize independent family farm agriculture and rural communities. And with the incoming Biden administration, we now have a chance to pass more common-sense policies that fight back against Big Ag and corporate polluters, but we can only win this fight with your support!
Donate to Food & Water Watch today to QUADRUPLE your power to help ban factory farms and protect our food, water and climate.
