A government that works for all.
As we continue to count down Mayor LaToya Cantrell's 2020 achievements, today we're turning to her commitment to building a culture at City Hall that puts New Orleanians first. Under Mayor Cantrell's leadership, city government engaged and served New Orleans communities in innovative new ways this year. As she starts her re-election campaign, Mayor Cantrell will continue working to ensure our city government works for us. Help us make sure she gets another four years to complete the work of changing New Orleans government.
Mayor Cantrell is turning the culture of NO at City Hall into a culture of YES. This is the City of Yes.
In 2020, Mayor Cantrell launched the Neighborhood Navigators program. This program, funded in part by a grant from the Mayor's Forward Together New Orleans organization, will help residents navigate access to resources. Her administration also launched the CleanUpNOLA Community Grants program to empower New Orleans communities to lead the way on beautification and green infrastructure projects. Mayor Cantrell also oversaw efforts that increased Orleans Parish's Census participation rate by 14%. This increase will be crucial to ensuring our city gets its fair share of funding and resources in the future.
Mayor Cantrell is changing the way we do government in New Orleans so that City Hall puts people first. As a result, our city government is more in touch and engaged with our communities than ever before. But we can't stop now, chip in $15 now for four more years of government that puts people first.
