John -- We'll get right to the point this morning:

There are now just three days until Ritchie Torres' very first public fundraising deadline since being elected in November.

We don't like sharing bad news, but we're still $3,028.15 short of our goal.

If we don't reach our public fundraising goal, we put the entire progressive momentum that we've built up together at risk.

So, we don't have any other choice than to ask you for help. Can you spare $3 or any amount to help Ritchie reach his goal? Please John?

John, Ritchie represents a new kind of leadership in Congress, and he needs to prove that grassroots progressives are fighting beside him.

We can't let our opportunity to DEMAND affordable housing for all, generous COVID-19 relief, and access to health care pass us by. And the best way to fight for it is to make sure that leaders like Ritchie have the resources to take a powerful stand in Congress that can't be ignored.

Please, we're nearly out of time and it would be a tough defeat to fall short of our very first public fundraising goal. Will you support Ritchie's progressive campaign with a $3 contribution right now?

Always appreciative of your generosity,

Team Ritchie

Ritchie Torres represents the future of the Democratic Party. Raised by a single mother in public housing, Ritchie personally understands the hardships that working families endure. At age 25, Ritchie made history as the youngest elected official to serve on the New York City Council. He fought tirelessly for the working families of The Bronx, and now, he's fighting for those families and for progressive values in Congress. He is the first openly gay Afro Latino ever elected to Congress. Ritchie is a champion for progressive policies to fight poverty and to improve the lives of families just like the one he was raised in.
