We cannot be what we cannot see.

That's why, along with my colleagues in the Hispanic Caucus, I've been adamant that the Biden-Harris transition team appoint more Latinas to their Cabinet.

As the first Latina ever elected to a leadership position in Congress, I know how much it means to see someone who looks and talks like you in a position of power. Not only is it reaffirming, it's uplifting.

For too long, Latinas have been gated from those high-level positions. It's my promise, that as long as I'm in Congress, I will use my seat to uplift and amplify Latina voices.

I'm ready to do just that in 2021, but first, I need to close out the year strong.

Will you help me hit my end-of-quarter fundraising goal before Thursday by pitching in anything you can right now?
