As we look forward into 2021, one of first the rays of hope we'll see comes in just 23 days, when President-elect Joe Biden takes office on Inauguration Day -- and makes good on his pledge to kill the Keystone XL pipeline.

The "NoKXL Pledge" was spearheaded by Bold, and supported by a broad coalition of our #NoKXL coalition partners like 350, Indigenous Environmental Network, Sunrise Movement, and Greenpeace. Our campaign successfully got all the Democratic candidates, along with nominee Joe Biden to sign on and promise to rescind the permits for Keystone XL. We are grateful to everyone who signed the petition, and pressured the candidates over the months of the campaign to take a stand for our climate and our future.

Along with Keystone XL, our "#NoKXL Pledge" also included calls for the President to honor our treaties with sovereign Tribal Nations, and apply a true "Climate Test" to all infrastructure projects, rejecting ones that would exacerbate our climate crisis -- including massive fossil fuel pipelines like Keystone XL, Enbridge's Line 3, Dakota Access, Mountain Valley, and Jordan Cove.

President-elect Joe Biden has already pledged to rescind the permits granted to TransCanada (TC Energy) and stop the Keystone XL pipeline.

We call on the Biden Administration to make good on the full NoKXL Pledge -- and take immediate action to stop the climate-killing Keystone XL and Line 3 pipelines -- as well as the Dakota Access, Mountain Valley, and Jordan Cove projects.

Bold has a new project in the works launching in early 2021 that will offer an online knowledge base, consulting, and direct resources to Pipeline Fighters and Water Protectors on the ground across the country.
