We all knew this was going to happen. For the first time in a decade, the number of Americans with health insurance has declined. This shouldn’t be a shock since our own executive branch has been relentless in trying to kick people off insurance.

Of course, we still need solutions that expand coverage while keeping costs low. But making it harder for people to get the care they need isn’t a solution -- it’s the problem.

For many Americans, Obamacare gave them health insurance for the first time in their lives. Now we’re running the risk of starting back at square one.

We can’t go back to a time where not having health insurance was the norm or when people with pre-existing conditions were denied coverage because of their illness. The health of our citizens is in Congress’ hands. We must take that very seriously!
